All of Mark’s responsibilities come back to one goal: he wants to help people work more efficiently and effectively. As a project manager, he builds high-performance teams and provides them with the support they need to deliver exceptional service to clients. As part of our Drinking Water leadership team, Mark helps build a strong community of scientists and engineers focused on providing safe and affordable drinking water across North America.
Mark has a strong background in water treatment process technologies, but he’s chosen to focus on a career in project management. An example of this is his work on a new drinking water treatment plant for the City of Portland, Oregon. As project manager for the design of this facility, Mark and his team have delivered a design that will enhance system resilience and improve the quality of the drinking water delivered to over a million people in the greater Portland region.
Mark has practiced Judo since childhood—his father was one of his club and high school coaches and is still coaching in his 80s. Mark continues to coach and support the community, finding Judo’s twin maxims—maximum efficiency and mutual benefit—inspiring and grounding.
